The Netherlands has almost 2 million companies, of which more than three-quarters is a one-man business. 10.2% of the number of companies has 3-20 employees. At the same time, the number of listed companies has been declining since the 1990s. SMEs are the growth engine of the Dutch economy, they provide 70% of employment and are responsible for 60% of economic activity, and this is the way companies should emerge for the future.
Younger employees increasingly want to work for sustainable companies. The number of social enterprises is increasing, but is still a small part of the total. Our goal is also to support the (future) social entrepreneur to take that step.
